Libraries' New Website - FAQs

In addition to making the move to Search It, the Libraries' new search tool, we've also updated our website! Here are some questions we've already been asked that may also help you.



When did you make the change?

The new site at went online on January 6th, 2014.

Does everything in the new site work the same way as the old site?

You should be able to get to everything you did before, though you've probably noticed our new search tool on the homepage. Search It search boxes should get you where you need to go - we hope you'll tell us if it that's not the case!

Will links I've made to the old site still work?

That depends – we have many redirects working so the transition should be seamless for pages that are still on the website. Still, we recommend you double–check your links to make sure they continue to work as expected. If you click on a link to a page that isn't on the Libraries' site anymore, you'll be directed to a page where you can report the issue through a feedback form. If you enter your email address in that form, we'll let you know what the resolution is, or you can always report issues anonymously. That reporting form is also available by clicking on the Website Feedback link at the bottom of every page this site.

I see that it's, not Why is that?

We've had both URL patterns for a while now, and are transitioning to the one we feel serves our users the best. It's easy to remember, too! Your old links may continue to work, or they may not (see the FAQ above, “Will links I've made to the old site still work?” for more information).

Can I give you feedback or report issues on the site?

You bet! We'd like to encourage you to take a look around, and let us know what you're seeing. Use the Website Feedback link at the bottom of every page on the site to report issues. Please be sure to add your email address if you want us to get back to you, otherwise you can always submit the form anonymously.
